02

Purposes of processing

Information voluntarily supplied by telephone, email or another published contact channel may be used to answer enquiries about Spanish non-resident property tax, deemed income, rental income and related professional services; prepare proposals and request the documents needed to assess or carry out an engagement; prepare or assist with tax filings and related administrative work when instructed; handle enquiries about specialist property insurance and communicate with insurers or professional partners where requested; manage the professional or contractual relationship; and comply with legal, tax, accounting, administrative and record-keeping duties.

No solely automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made from information received through this website.

03

Personal information processed

The information depends on the enquiry or service. It may include identification and contact details; tax residence, NIE or identification documentation; ownership and property information; cadastral, acquisition, rental income and expense information; tax and administrative documents; billing information; and information needed to assess a property-insurance enquiry.

Please provide accurate, current and necessary information only. Do not send personal information about third parties or special-category information unless it is necessary and you are legally authorised to do so.

04

Retention

Information is retained for the time needed to answer the enquiry, provide the requested service and maintain the professional or contractual relationship. Records connected with invoicing, tax, accounting, regulatory duties or potential claims are retained for the legally applicable periods and then deleted or restricted as required.

05

Legal basis

Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on your consent when you contact us voluntarily; steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; performance of a contract or professional engagement; compliance with legal obligations; and legitimate interests in responding to communications, keeping evidence of work performed, maintaining security and protecting legal rights.

If particular information is necessary to assess, prepare or provide a requested service, failure to supply it may prevent that service from being carried out.

06

Recipients and service providers

Personal information is not sold. It is disclosed only where required by law, authorised by the individual or necessary for the requested service. Depending on the engagement, recipients may include the Spanish Tax Agency and other public bodies, insurers and underwriting entities, authorised professional partners, financial institutions and technology, hosting or email providers acting under the appropriate obligations.

International transfers are not planned by the controller. If a necessary provider processes information outside the European Economic Area, the safeguards required by data-protection law will be applied.

07

Your data-protection rights

You may request confirmation of whether your personal information is being processed and exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, where applicable, by writing to info@taxfornonresidents.com. State the right you wish to exercise and provide only the information reasonably needed to verify your identity.

Where processing is based on consent, it may be withdrawn at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

08

Source of the information

Information normally comes directly from the individual who contacts us, supplies documents or engages a service. It may also come from a duly authorised representative, joint owner, tenant, insurer, public authority or another person legitimately involved in the requested matter.

09

Commercial communications

Marketing communications will be sent only where there is a valid legal basis or the recipient has authorised them. You may opt out at any time by emailing info@taxfornonresidents.com with the subject “No marketing communications”.

10

Calculators, technical data and cookies

The tax calculators operate in the visitor’s browser. Values entered into them are not sent to Tax for Non-Residents, are not included in an enquiry and are not stored by the website owner. The current static website does not use its own contact forms, analytics or advertising cookies.

The hosting provider may process essential technical information, such as IP address, date, requested resource and security logs, to deliver and protect the website. Following an external link or opening an email or telephone application is governed by the privacy terms of the relevant service or device.
